Babylon 5 Fandom Update for 11 - 8 - 2020

This week I had a birthday and turned old again! I got a lovely Birthday president – nice slip of the pen, huh? We elected a new president here in the US and I hope things improve here. Any time you’re dragged down by the world outside, watch some B5 and realize that the more things change, the more they remain the same.

Bio of the week: Harlan Ellison
Harlan Ellsion was a Science fiction writer, and friend and mentor of JMS. He is listed as a consultant and also wrote two episodes: A View from the Gallery and Objects in Motion. Ellison is considered a contentious character who often disagreed with nearly everything anyone said. The writer of Psycho, Robert Bloch said of him: "the only living organism I know whose natural habitat is hot water".

Ellison was born in 1934 and honestly, he sounds like one of the most unpleasant humans who ever lived – he quit college because a professor criticized him, he was married 5 times, his sister didn’t speak to him over for around 35 years. Ellison died in his sleep at 84 in 2018.
